Your time is valuable! And so is mine. The session fee covers our time together, including the consultation and session(s). It also includes my expertise and guidance throughout the process. Keep in mind, the session fee does not include any digital images or packages. Those are purchased separately at your ordering appointment. The Consultation | Our experience together starts with a consultation. First impressions are everything and I want us to start off on the right foot. During your consultation, we'll go over every session detail and I am here for any question you may have. If you choose an in-person consultation, you can go through my extensive client closet, my newborn closet and props. Pick and choose from my wide array of newborn session essentials to create the photos of your dreams. Did you forget to ask something during your consultation? No problem! I am always a call, text or email away. I am very responsive and will get back to you promptly.

The Studio | When you come in for your newborn session, I want the atmosphere to feel relaxed and inviting. I know that being a new parent can be stressful, so I want to keep things as stress-free as possible. We'll keep the lights low, I have a comfy seating area and snacks and refreshments to enjoy. Were you feeling rushed to get out the door that morning? Feel free to get ready for the family portion of the session in my studio. Bring along your makeup. I have hair spray, bobby pins, and a curling iron ready for you. You can also feel free to look through my client closet and decide on an outfit for yourself if you didn't find one you loved at home.

The Session | The session is baby-led. If baby expresses that they are uncomfortable or do not prefer a certain pose, we will move on. Sometimes babies just need a couple minutes to rest and relax into the pose. I have photographed many babies and have had two of my own, so I can see when a baby is telling me to move on or just be patient and wait for them to relax. Patience is the name of the game! This is why the session can last anywhere from 2-3+ hours. We just do not know how baby will be feeling that day. Some babies are super sleepy and we can move through the session quickly, while others may need some more time or food to fall asleep. I respect any way you wish to feed baby. Feel free to breastfeed in the studio (I have a cover if you need one). If baby is bottle fed, I can certainly help out with that, too. We may need to take a few breaks to get baby happy and sleepy during the session and that's okay and perfectly natural.

Your Photos | After the session, your photos will be picked and hand-edited by me to ensure the highest quality. I always edit out skin blemishes and blotchiness, while still keeping the skin's texture to keep baby and the rest of the family looking natural. My edits keep a true-to-color warmth and use bold shadowing to give a rich depth and draw in the eye. Special time and care is needed when editing newborn and maternity sessions. As such, editing turnaround time is usually between 2-4 weeks. Once editing is finished, I will be in touch to schedule your viewing and ordering appointment. This is where you will see your beautiful images for the first time and where you will create your final package, including digitals and any artwork you would like to purchase. All packages include a certain number of digital images along with fine art matted prints. Artwork is ordered from my professional partner lab only available to professional photographers, so you know you are getting the highest quality products. Artwork turnaround time is about 1 week including shipping time.
