I've been in Florida now for a little over 7 months. And I still can't get over the amazing scenery is this beautiful state. I had a session at a little park called Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park, FL, this last weekend. This is one of the most beautiful places I've discovered here so far. Trees as tall as the sky. Spanish moss hanging from every branch. Palm leaves creating the most beautiful shadows dancing on the ground. How much more southern can you get?! Coming from the familiar sights of the midwest cottonwoods, this foliage is so new and foreign to me. It takes my breath away every time I see it. I knew I had to capture that drama of the surroundings in this session. I did a lot of up-shooting to capture the height of the trees. I gave space between my subjects and the background to capture as much of the beauty as I could.
Mama wore a casual outfit to start with. Blue jeans, a cropped black shirt and a lace coverup, showcasing the sweet, sweet baby bump. We did more of the fun, laidback shots with this outfit. Next, she put on a stunning royal blue dress with a long, flowing train. I love when I get to play with the long dresses! It adds so much movement and can give us a lot of variety for different poses. Her dress added to the drama of the gorgeous backdrop we were working with. We did our more posed shots in the dress, always making sure baby was showcased and framed out by mama's loving hands.
I am so excited for these two to welcome their sweet babe into the world! You could see their excitement and love for their little peanut already.
