Brittani Gregg Photography- Lake Wales Studio
Take a virtual tour of my Lake Wales, FL studio.
Awww... my little slice of heaven. This is truly my happy space. I remember coming into my old studio before a session and all of my anxieties or stresses from the day would melt away. It was where I could get a little break from the "real world." I'm so excited to be able to have that again.
I haven't had a studio since July, 2023, when my lease ended on my Nebraska studio and I decided not to renew in anticipation for my family's move to Florida. I remember how sad I was to get rid of where I made my living for the last three years. I just had to keep in mind that this was all for the best. I was on to bigger and better things.
And here we are. FINALLY. Now, remember I said "bigger and better things," right? Well, we did move onto better. But bigger? Not quite. While this space is about a quarter of the size of my old studio, the character of the building is what makes it, giving it all the vintage vibes. The ceilings are tall and allow for me to move my light as high as I need to while also making the room feel a bit bigger. I am going to have to get used to taking setups down and replacing them with new setups everytime I move onto a different look in my sessions. Before I could line everything up and go from one setup to the next. But the mosaic tile floors and the character of the door and window frames. MMM! It's just everything I had in mind for my new studio.
I've got a spot for every necessity. I have a sitting area with a pretty darn comfy couch for mom and dad to sit on while they wait for baby during their big modeling debut. I've got examples hung up and parents can see mockups of the albums they may be receiving with their session to hopefully help with the anticipation and excitement of seeing their own sweet one's photos. I've got a changing table to prep baby before and during the session. I've got my storage area with all of my wraps, props, hats, backdrop fabric, client closet and more. This is truly my favorite part of the studio. I have things color-coordinated and it's so pleasing to the eye to see it all together and arranged in my own way. My client closet takes up a majority of the wall walking into the studio. I honestly didn't realize how many things I had collected for the closet until I started unpacking it here at the studio. This is my first studio with a private bathroom for clients to use. With the limited space, we'll have to double the bathroom as the changing room, also.
I plan to keep some supplies stocked in the studio in case mom forgets anything. I have newborn sized diapers, wipes, a nursing cover, baby products, etc. Because we all know it's like you're in a different world right after you have a baby. How in the heck are you supposed to remember to bring everything when it feels like you're bringing the entire house already?! I'll keep waters stocked and a few snacks on hand for mom and dad's wait.
I'm just so, so excited for my first sweet little babe to help break in my studio. I'm expecting one in the next few weeks. I'll keep you updated on here to show you how it goes. :)
